Are any homes selling in the Phoenix real estate market right now???
YES! Homes are still selling in Phoenix!
It is easy to understand why a lot of home sellers are frustrated. Many of them have had their homes on the market for months now. Some of them have had a lot a viewings with no offers, while other homes have very few people if anyone even looking at their home.
From May 17, 2008 through June 16, 2008 5,541 homes sold through the Arizona Regional MLS.
Plus there are currently 8,930 homes that are pending (meaning they have an offer to buy that has been accepted) in the Arizona Regional MLS.
Sellers are frustrated because currently there are 52,701 homes for sale in the Arizona Regional MLS.
Everyday when I talk to people trying to sell their home I tell them....that there are homes that are selling. People are still buying homes in the Phoenix Valley. However, it is definitely a buyers market and if you want to sell your home you will have to price it to sell.
The people that are out there buying homes hear everything in the news about the terrible real estate market that you are hearing, and no one is buying anything that they don't feel is a great real estate investment.
