If you live in the Phoenix Valley (Maricopa County) and are a first time home buyer....you can get free money!
Maricopa County will give first time home buyers a 5% grant...or FREE MONEY for down payment assistance. There are also special incentives for Veterans.
Everyone likes free money!
If you are not a first time home buyer...just think about how much a 5% grant would have helped when buying your first home.
If you are a first time home buyer, this is your criteria:

First-time home buyers may purchase a home anywhere in Maricopa County, including the City of Phoenix.

Other buyers, who have purchased a home during the past three years, may only purchase a home in the Target Areas (email me for a map of these areas).

Qualified Veterans are exempt from the first-time home buyer requirements.

Buyers must occupy the home as their principal residence.

The program may only be used to purchase a home.

Standard loan guidelines exist for qualification (adequate income, acceptable credit).

Household income may not exceed the program guidelines.
When you are getting free money from Maricopa County you can use it to buy a single family home, condo, duplex older than five years, planned unit developments, and manufactured homes.
This program is call the "Home in 5" program. It is great for first time home buyers to help them purchase their first home.
