Vote YES On Proposition 100
Protect Our Home Initiative, or Proposition 100 will protect both residential real estate owners in Arizona as well as commercial real estate owners from the damaging effects of a real estate sales, or transfer tax.
A real estate sale or transfer tax is when a state or local government imposes a tax that is collected when you sell or transfer ownership of real estate
In Arizona we do not have this type of tax, and we would like to keep it that way.
Proposition 100 will ensure that a real estate sales or transfer tax is never written into law in Arizona.
Proposition 100 will protect the equity that real estate owners have worked hard to build in their homes and property. There is already an annual real estate tax in Arizona, an additional tax would be double taxation and is unfair to Arizonans. It will also keep the closing cost lower and will allow more people in Arizona to purchase a home or commercial property.
Proposition 100 will help protect homes and businesses from a burdensome double tax, and will help keep housing affordable. This is not only good for Arizonans, but it is also good for our economy.
