Buying a Home in the Phoenix Valley

Are you tired of paying rent with nothing to show for it? Ready to put down some roots? I'm going to explain why you should buy a home in the Phoenix Valley:

With the dip in the market at the moment, you'll find deals that you just wouldn't have seen last year—and interest rates are still close to record lows. No one can predict the real estate market with complete certainty, but if you've been thinking about buying your first home in the Phoenix Valley, it's definitely a good time to be looking.

Negotiating a purchase can seem complicated, but I can lead you through the process and help you minimize stress. I want you to fully enjoy being a home owner!

Financing Your First Home

The first step in securing your home is to get your financing in order. Being pre-approved for a mortgage will help you set your price range and let you know exactly how much you can offer.

Having a less-than-perfect credit does not automatically disqualify you from mortgage approval. Shop around—there are several credit structures available to consumers today.

Many first time buyers can also qualify for assistance with financing: the Arizona Department of Housing offers support for the down payment and closing costs for first time buyers. You may also be eligible for a Mortgage Revenue Bond Home Loan for first time buyers, which offer lower interest rates (and lower monthly payments!) or a tax credit based on your annual interest payment.
